Bronwyn Murray was admitted as an attorney during 2004 and joined Bowman Gilfillan during 2008. She has practised in all areas of employment law since her admission as an attorney and currently specialises in employment in the public law sphere. Bronwyn’s main areas of work include providing advice and litigating for public sector clients in the areas of labour law and administrative law. Much of this work entails investigations, disciplinary hearings, arbitrations (in the CCMA and various bargaining councils), and court proceedings in the High Court, and Labour Court.

Bronwyn has advised extensively on the employment law implications of business transfers in the public and private sectors and the establishment of state-owned entities. In the course of her dispute resolution practice Bronwyn represented clients in High Court litigation over administrative law disputes, pension law disputes, challenges to Board decisions and suspensions.

Bronwyn predominantly does her own appearances on behalf of clients, both employers and employees, in the Labour Court, CCMA, private arbitrations, Bargaining Councils and disciplinary hearings (chairing or prosecuting).

Bronwyn is also a member of the South African Society of Labour Lawyers (SASLAW).
