• Eskom: Advising on the financing of the first portion of Eskom's Medupi base load power plant. The facility comprised a 250-million Euro facility agreed with KfW.
• PPP concession Euromoney’s African PPP Deal of the Year - 2003 – Department of Trade and Industry: Advised the Sponsors of the R870-million PPP concession for the design, construction, finance and facilities management of the new head office for the Department of Trade and Industry.
• PPP concession – Department of Education: Advising the Financiers on the design, construction, finance and facilities management concession for a new head office for the Department of Education.
• PPP concession: Gautrain Rapid Rail Link Project: Advising Rand Merchant Bank and Standard Bank on the financing of the Gautrain Rapid Rail Link Project in the Gauteng Province of South Africa.
• PPP Concession: Eastern Cape Provincial Government: Advising the Government of the Eastern Cape as part of a transaction advisory team in relation to a potential public private partnership for the finance, design, construction, operation and maintenance of head office accommodation for the Eastern Cape Provincial Government at two locations in the Eastern Cape.
• Mozambique Gas concession: Advising Matola Gas, the consortium awarded the concession for the transmission of natural gas from Ressano Garcia to Maputo and the distribution and supply of gas in Maputo.
• Marromeu Sugar Project: Principal advisors to the Financiers (which included Standard Bank, the Industrial Development Corporation, Development Bank SA, Mauritius Commercial Bank and four syndicated Mozambican Banks) for the US$66 million financing of a project to resurrect the sugar industry of Marromeu in the Zambezi Valley in Mozambique.
• Target Mine: Advising the Financiers (which included Deutsche Bank and Standard Bank) on the financing of the Target Mine in the Northern Province for Avgold.
• Maandagshoek Platinum Mine: Advising ARM Consortium in its joint venture with Anglo Platinum for the Maandagshoek Platinum Mine and its project finance borrowing from BoE for the purposes of financing its share of the joint venture.
• IPP Peaking Power Generation: Advising the proposed financiers to the preferred bidder in relation to the proposal of two new peaking power plants to be operated by the private sector in South Africa.
• Kruger Mpumalanga Airport: Advising ABB in the development and operation of the new international airport.
• Central African DFI Funding: Advising the Industrial Development Corporation in its provision of an Export Credit Insurance backed facility of US$100 million to a borrower for a project in central Africa.
