All the courses and workshops are designed in accordance with the principles of adult learning which are that :-

  • Learning should be self directed
  • Prior experience and knowledge of learners must be taken into account
  • Learning must have immediate application
  • Self-evaluation rather than third party evaluation is encouraged.

Extensive use is therefore made of case studies, role plays and other interactive processes.  Bowman Gilfillan trainers are all lawyers who have undergone specialist training in the presentation of adult learning programmes.

Bowman Gilfillan works in close association with Conflict Dynamics which has full accreditation from the Services Sector Education and Training Authority.  This enables clients who are at present paying a skills development levy to a SETA and who comply with the requirements of that SETA to claim back on their levy if they wish to.
